ME 000

The ME 000 is a vertically oriented minimalist wallet with one card slot on either side and a middle pocket that can be used for either cash or cards or both. Made with full grain vegetable tanned leather. Sown and finished by hand with quality and durability in mind.*

Illustrations are mirrored on each side, and depict an aspect of the proprietary technology of Zomencor at work. The Zomencor corporation was once contracted to manage the massive data centers of Arboretum 829, which sorted inputs from billions of synthetic-sense receptors that constantly monitored the divers and interconnected biomes. This web of artificial intelligences was so vast that Zomencor was always hiring, and their employees not only managed the data centers, but were also trained, like all those who worked aboard, to operate the Arboretum's master manual and analog controls in cases of emergency. This was a necessary skill set, since equal rights were granted to artificial intelligences in many of the systems that Arboretum 829 traveled (often whether or not they were tuned towards speech patterning and artificial-personal-presentation-and-interaction). In such systems all computer operations, even those that could not reasonably be considered making use of artificial intelligence (for laws in every which place had nuanced definitions as to what could be considered AI) were brought to a halt, because any kind of manipulation of an artificial intelligence was considered, for the time being, a form of slave driving and was punishable with exorbitant fines, or worse. The only recourse in such situations was to take hold of the levers and wheels, and pray to the outer gods.
